The museum aims to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of Manavgat, transmit its values and urban memory to future generations, and is of significant interest to both local and foreign tourists visiting the region.
The Manavgat City Museum has gathered over 3000 artifacts representing Cretan culture, Nomadic culture, and the local culture of Manavgat residents, meticulously collected and organized. The museum features 50 scenes across indoor and outdoor areas, including 1 library, 2 cinema sections, 1 Nomadic tent section, 1 craft section, 1 agriculture section, 1 agricultural production section, 1 section on traditions, weaving, and music, 1 culinary culture section, 1 section on the natural riches of Manavgat, and 1 museum café, comprising a total of 14 rooms.
Spread across two floors, the museum illuminates the historical past and lifestyle of Manavgat through traditional exhibits depicting Nomadic life, examples of the natural environment, alternative tourism routes, archaeological sites, and visual materials typical of the region."
